Bar Camp, Banglore[7]

I was unfortunate to miss the first day of BCB7, as I had other priorities. But I was one of those fortunate folks to witness the second day of BCB7.
My first session on the second day of BCB7 was on Mobee.in.Mobee.in, in a nutshell, claims to deliver our mails to our mobile phones by using SMS and NOT BY GPRS. My first reaction on hearing this from Dashrath [the guy who did this presentation] was "Awesome dude". And Ofcourse Mobee.in
not only claims this but does it, I have registered my mobile to recieve my gmail messages. And it works great.
A brief explanation
Mobee.in delivers u email through SMS, does not require GPRS. You can reply/reply to all through SMS too.

Just register yourself in Mobee.in or send SMS "SIGNUP to +91 9008666233"
+91 9008666233 is a Banglore,India based number and Mobee.in claims that it wont charge any extra amount apart from your normal SMS tariff.
User can recieve 10 free SMS's per day - Free Package. Other premium services are offered too.

Lunch Box Concert
Lunch box concerts happens every Wednesday at "Farmers Markets - Lloyd district",
These concerts provide a nice break for lunch from our hectic day. We usually bring our lunch, or purchase a lunch box provided there, grab a chair, and listen to good music. We are lucky to have our office building[KLC,Oregon square] just adjacent to that. People drop by this place every Wednesday at noon, just to spend their lunch time in musical trance.
Long Live Lunch Box Concerts!

Good Strategy !
I have subscribed for TheHindu shopping e-newsletter ["The Hindu" is one of the leading newspapers in chennai]. And my today's shopping e-newsletter came with the subject "An Ideal Gift on Carnatic Music" being a carnatic music listener i opened the mail with excitement and found this striking pic.
Okay here comes the next question in mind, why didn't he come up with a disk preloaded with Famous Movie Songs ? Who are his audiences ? This is wat my mind answered, "Being a techie (also applicable to current generation folks , not alone techies) u know where to get your favorite songs for free and you also know that its a bit difficult to get a high quality Carnatic Music and moreover higher percentage of Carnatic Music lovers fall under the age > 30-35 category and i guess that these folks unfortunately or fortunately dont explore the net or don have the exposure or not aware that their favorite music is available online and they can get it for free [few are illegal though]. So its a great move to promote your product with a Carnatic Touch particularly in India. Good Luck Data Traveller !

Cooking as Hobby - Sambar Debut

Traditional Indian Sambar - Made in Portland
Luckily my first sambar came out well and unfortunately the pizza guy missed out a business. Actually this successful sambar is motivating me to try some veg gravy tomo.
